The build is the same careful process we use on every floor, minus the decorative layer. We diamond grind the slab to open the concrete pores, fill cracks and control joints, and check the slab for moisture before anything goes down. Then a pigmented epoxy base coat is rolled on in the color you picked, and a clear topcoat seals it.
Skipping the broadcast layer is exactly why this finish costs less. There are no vinyl chips to spread and no pigments to move by hand, so there is less material and less labor on site. If you want a little grip or a little texture, we can blend an anti-slip additive into the topcoat or scatter a light flake sprinkle across the base coat, and both options cost far less than a full flake system.

The most affordable finish we install, with fewer materials and fewer steps than flake or metallic.
A light, glossy color bounces overhead light around, which makes a dim garage or back room far easier to work in.
A sealed, seamless surface with nothing for dirt to settle into, so a broom and an occasional mop keep it looking right.
Tinted to the shade you want, from standard grays and tans to a brand color for a shop floor.
Duplexes and rental houses around Texas State turn over fast, and a sealed floor takes move-out scuffs far better than carpet or vinyl. The lower price per square foot also makes it realistic to do several units in one season.
Spilled oil wipes up instead of soaking in, and the brighter surface helps when you are working over a bench or under a car. Laundry rooms and utility closets are an easy add while we are already on site.
Stockrooms, back-of-house areas, and small shops along the I-35 corridor get a clean, professional floor without the budget a decorative finish would take.
Yes. It is the most affordable finish we install, because it skips the broadcast layer that flake and metallic systems require. That means fewer materials, fewer steps, and less labor on site, so the savings show up in the per square foot price.
It does. A single uninterrupted color has nothing to break up the look of dust, tire marks, or a dropped bolt, while the speckled pattern in a flake floor hides all of that between cleanings. Mid tone grays and tans disguise everyday traffic better than very light or very dark colors, and a light flake sprinkle is a good middle ground if you want some camouflage without the cost of a full flake system.
Yes. A smooth solid color surface is the slickest of our finishes when wet, so we offer an anti-slip additive blended into the clear topcoat, which adds grip without changing the color. A light flake sprinkle is the other option, and it adds a bit of texture and visual interest at the same time. We recommend one or the other for laundry rooms, wash bays, entryways, and any area that sees standing water.
In most cases, yes. Solid color systems are tinted, so the range goes well beyond the standard grays and tans, and we can work toward a brand color for a shop or a specific shade you have in mind for a garage.
